The content filter we currently use is Fortinet filtering solutions. Fortinet are IWF members and keep the filters fully up to date by automatically adding filter lists to its database.
Sites can be added or removed manually following requests from schools. All requests are checked by a member of the team before being added to the filter list.
As websites are categorised, it is possible to allow schools access to certain websites which are normally blocked. This includes sites such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
By default, ‘Restricted’ YouTube is available in schools, but the full site can be blocked or allowed in the school if requested.
